Details: This is a very attractive example of an Ava Burmese head of the Buddha Shakyamuni carved from alabaster. Buddha’s face has a wonderfully tranquil and contented meditative expression punctuated by a pair of beautiful smiling lips. He has a handsome aquiline nose, elegant high eyebrows and finely carved elongated earlobes.
