2nd to 3rd Century Gandhara Stone Head of a Bodhisattva
Details: An excellent example of a Gandhara sandstone head of a Bodhisattva, possibly Maitreya. His face carved with a serene expression, urna, heavy lidded eyes and a smiling mouth. He is wearing an elaborate headdress with floral rosettes woven in between his many beautifully carved curls.

Age: 2nd to 3rd Century

Height: 12 cm (Base not included in measurement).

Width: 7.5 cm (Across the headband).

Remarks: The nose and parts of the ears and chin are damaged as seen in the photos. There has been no restoration on this piece, it is an untouched piece in honest condition.
